I love creating artwork during live events and conferences! These are always large enough to be seen by the whole crowd and are usually started and finished within an hour. I often use brightly coloured inks, and sometimes paint bleach into black ink to give the effect of light breaking into darkness.

If you are involved in running an event and are interested in including some live art, or if you want to collaborate in putting on such events, I'd love to hear from you.

Living on the Wind

Prints in my Etsy shop, plus postcards available to order.

Swifts are gathering from all directions, rising into a brightening sky. Storm clouds gather and then part. Sensing the change of season, they lift on the winds and warming thermals: agile, responsive, with determination and purpose. Swifts live on the winds, never landing until they reach their far destination, totally at home in the skies! Jesus says, “I’m stirring my flock. It’s time to rise, to follow the Spirit, like the air currents under your wings.”  There’s a new focus on gathering with purpose and being seen as a beautiful wonder.

I see a vibrant, joyful, responsive and caring community that others see and join from many places. There are three generations flying together, with the youngest generation carrying an unashamed faith, having made their own choice to follow Christ. This is the community of Jesus, responding to the wind of the Spirit. Even when the storms blow in, we can live that way, because we trust the One who upholds us.

The Nature of Christ

I am creating a series of images, exploring new ways of portraying Jesus' nature.

In Spring 2024, in Oxford, I painted Jesus on the throne of heaven, with the fabric of his robe then coming out into the hall, as his Presence filling the space. People came forward, touched the robes and gazed at Jesus. Afterwards, we heard that many had encountered God profoundly in that moment. Others were physically healed.

In Spring 2025, in California, I painted Jesus running through a barren desert, his arm outstretched behind him towards us, inviting us to come run with him! His garments are a river running out from behind him bringing renewal and life and healing in his wake.

Pentecost 2025

‘We are vessels to be filled with wind and fire’

The picture shows people lifting their heads to God, receiving His Holy Spirit; they are drawn as clear outlines through which the wind and fire can move.  The disciples experienced flames and wind, that same Spirit is still with us, promised to us, and lives within us.

‘His Spirit comes, we turn to Him’

Collaborative artwork, made with the congregation's prayerful participaction.
